4 Tips And Tricks to Creating Killer Headlines!
Writing a killer headline does not have to be difficult.
The following 4 examples are proven headlines that work time after time after time after time*….. (*repeat to fade).
Use them – and benefit!
1. At Last! Discover______
A headline based on someone’s problem is always going to get attention.
Better still – is a headline that gives a solution to a problem.
Making Money Online revolves around solving someone’s problem. For example – imagine you want more traffic to your site. Don’t you think the headline ‘At Last! Discover 7 Proven Strategies To Get Traffic To Your Website’ would result in someone clicking to read? Of course it would.
Answer problems with your headline.
But how do you know what people are asking? Easy. Go to forums and look at the questions. If one person is asking something – you can bet at least a hundred are thinking it.
2. How To ______
This is the classic ‘How To’ technique. Even after all these years – it’s still a winner. Again – similar to above – it is providing a solution to a problem.
3. Imagine What It Would Be Like To ________
Invoking curiosity is very powerful. The more creative the better. I remember a great headline from a respected marketer (Michael Cheney) that read ‘Michael Cheney sings Britney Spears’.
Instantly – the image of this guy singing a Britney song was too great to ignore! It evoked so much curiosity that I clicked to find out more (and no doubt so did thousands of others). Curiosity is a very powerful human emotion – make your headlines as intriguing as possible.
4.
Copy This System_______
If you have had some success in a certain field – and can verify this success – a ‘Copy This’ headline can work wonders.
People like to be told what to do! Anything ‘step-by-step’ always does well.
As soon as I began to make $250 a day online – I sent an email to my list with the headline ‘Copy This $250/day system’. Over 70% of my list opened this email (which is a HUGE % – normally you’d expect a 20 – 50% ‘open’ rate on emails).

Hi guys,
I hope you will forgive my ramblings here!
Please let me explain…
…I am currently 38,000 feet…somewhere over northern California. I am flying from LA to Idaho to meet with the boys from DotComSecrets to start the wheels rolling on www.BeginnersBootcamp.com — which is a new product I hope to be releasing later this year.
Anyway – it’s night time – everyone is asleep – the cabin lights are off — and all I call see is the glow of my laptop screen inside and the curvature of the earth outside. It’s quite a spiritual feeling to be honest….
And maybe that’s why I wanted to scribble this down and share this with you.
I am reading the Go Giver – by Bob Burg and John David Mann. A beautiful little book about a big idea.
The thoughts in this book resonate so strongly with how I feel about business – that I am almost bursting with thoughts that I want to share with you. In fact I am typing so fast here I keep making errors and keep having to go back and correct myself..!
So what do I want to share….
Please allow me a few moments and I’ll explain.
You know the Stones song ‘ You can’t always get what you want’?
Do you think that statement is true?
Personally – I do.
In life – you don’t always get what you want.
But – have you noticed – here’s what you DO get…
You get what you expect.
Have you noticed this?
I have.
Go looking for conflict – and you’ll find it.
Go looking for frustration – and you’ll find it.
Go looking for the best in people – and you’ll find it.
So – what’s my point? (I did tell I was rambling…)
Everyone here – myself included – is here to make money online.
And that’s fine.
I’m sure many – myself included – have a BIGGER picture of what you would like to use the money for – be it personal – family – charity….
And therefore Internet Marketing is a real vechicle to get you there quicker (although when I say quicker I am still talking a few years…)
But here’s the kicker….
If you are asking yourself ‘How can I make money?’ – then I’m afraid to say – this business is not for you.
Of couse we all want to make money.
But your first question should not be ‘How can I make money?’
I’m not saying that is a bad question.
Because it’s not!
It’s actually a great question!
But it’s a bad FIRST qestion.
Do you see the difference?
Before we start thinking about the money – we should be asking ourselves another question.
And that is ‘How can I add value?’
Exceed people’s expectations. How can you serve others? How can you help? What solutions can you offer?
The point is not to get people to pay you more – it’s to give them more.
All the great fortunes in the wold have been created by men and women who had a greater passion for what they were giving – their product, service, ebook or idea – than what they were getting.
And many of those great fortunes have been squandered by others who had a greater passsion for what they were getting than what they were giving.
Value.
Your true worth is determined by how much you give – rather than how much you take.
But the funny thing is – if you do the former – the latter will naturally occur.
Ok – gotta run – the fasten seatbelts sign has just been illuminated….
